Study: Teen Pregnancy Rate Drops When Planned Parenthood Leaves Town

Posted on January 21, 2014 in Sexuality by

A long-term study in the panhandle of Texas covering 16 counties covering 1994 through 2010 shows the teen pregnancy rate drops significantly when Planned Parenthood is not around.

While Planned Parenthood claims that they serve an important role in the community evidence to the contrary suggests Planned Parenthood is the problem. A recent article explains the study:

“The study analyzed data obtained from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Vital Statistics Annual Report, Table 14B, for the years 1994 through 2010:  ‘In 1996, the year before opposition to Planned Parenthood began, the average teen pregnancy rate in the 16 counties where Planned Parenthood operated facilities was 43.6 per 1,000 girls aged 13 to 17. By 2002, the rate had dropped to 28.6. In 2008, the year the last two Planned Parenthood facilities disaffiliated from PPFA, the teen pregnancy rate was 27.2. And in 2010, two years after the Texas Panhandle became Planned Parenthood-free, the teen pregnancy rate had fallen to 24.1.'”

It would seem that Planned Parenthood and their push for explicit sex-education in schools and programs handing out condoms and abortion drugs could very well be contributing to higher teen pregnancy rates rather than reducing them as Planned Parenthood claims.

Then again, this is not all that surprising when looked at objectively. Planned Parenthood wants to teach explicit sex-ed to kids in elementary schools. Then they offer all the free condoms and birth control teens can handle while making sure those teens know Planned Parenthood does abortions. Planned Parenthood will even help keep pregnancy a secret from parents and the law. The end result? Duh…kids engage in sexual activity at young ages, girls get pregnant and go to Planned Parenthood for abortions.

Considering that Planned Parenthood is primarily an abortion industry this is a great business model. It also makes sense that when Planned Parenthood leaves town teen pregnancy rates decline. They should serve the community by shutting down entirely.
