Planned Parenthood is Really “Angry” Over Bill to Repeal Obamacare. Why?

Posted on June 1, 2017 in Life by

Cecile RichardsThe House of Representatives recently passed a bill to repeal Obamacare, led by Republicans in the House and mostly on a party-line vote. This is in keeping with many Republican’s promise during the 2016 election cycle to repeal the healthcare bill. This was also one of President Donald Trump’s biggest campaign promises so there’s little doubt that he charged Republicans in Congress with getting it done.

Given this bit of reality it’s hard to believe that anyone would be surprised when Republicans in the House passed a bill to repeal Obamacare. And yet, some seem surprised.

Others, however, are just really angry.

Take for example Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards. She is really “angry,” and “furious” and “disgusted” by the attempt to repeal Obamacare. But, to be fair, it’s probably because the bill has a provision to defund Planned Parenthood.

Richards went on an unhinged rant against Republicans after the bill was passed accusing lawmakers of “stripping health care from millions.” Richard’s alarmist language is intended to stir up supporters of abortion. Let’s put this in perspective.

Planned Parenthood is the world’s largest abortion merchant. That’s really all they do. Sure, they hand out condoms, they give birth control pills to girls and women, and they will offer a pregnancy test. But, in the form of substantive health care services to women, including pregnant women, they have nothing more to offer than abortions. So let’s not trick ourselves into thinking that Planned Parenthood is somehow a health center where any person, male or female, can receive comprehensive health care services.

This makes Cecile Richards’ letter complaining over the new healthcare repeal “defunding Planned Parenthood” and “stripping healthcare from millions,” an act of desperation. Richards and Planned Parenthood know they have to equate Planned Parenthood with health care services in order remain legitimate in the public eye. As more people learn that they only provide abortions they become less relevant and less needed than actual health care centers.

Speaking of relevance, Richards should check the mirror before calling anyone “out of touch,” which she does a couple of times. Richards claims that lawmakers are “out of touch” for daring to defund Planned Parenthood in the wake of their scandal in which it was revealed that Planned parenthood regularly ignores federal law in order to sell aborted baby body parts. The evidence, however, says otherwise.

A new poll indicates that 56% of people in battleground states oppose federally funding Planned Parenthood. And 60% of people in those same states say they are less likely to vote for their Senator if he/she gives money to Planned Parenthood. In other words, lawmakers are doing exactly what people want: defunding Planned Parenthood.

This factually false rant by Cecile Richards is telling her supporters that Planned Parenthood and abortion are becoming less popular among Americans. She further communicates that she does not think Planned Parenthood can operate without federal funding. Let’s just think about that for a moment.

If Planned Parenthood is so popular and so essential to women’s health, why can’t they stand on their own two feet? If there is so much support for Planned Parenthood among American citizens why does it matter if federal funding is pulled? Could it be that Planned Parenthood will shrivel due to lack of support if they have no federal funding? That sure seems likely to me.

Maybe Planned Parenthood is scared because of all the community health centers across the country. These federally recognized health centers actually provide comprehensive health care for all people rather than just offering abortion. Cecile Richards might be scared that the government will take its funding and give it to these comprehensive health centers. That move would find so much support and popularity among Americans that it would be hard to come back from, and Richards’ knows it.

In the end, people are tired of Richards and Planned Parenthood. For years Americans have been asking the government to defund the criminal abortion organization. The only reason this hasn’t been done sooner is because the President Obama, the most pro-abortion president in American history, refused to do what a majority of Americans wanted.

Cecile Richards and her criminal cronies have disgusted Americans with their evil practices, including, ignoring federal laws against selling aborted baby body parts, covering up rapes and se-trafficking through abortion, sending women to the hospital every day through botched abortions, and campaigning against laws to protect unborn children at 20 weeks from being subjected to torture through dismemberment abortions.

And I think people are also tired of being accused of “hating women” just for supporting life. Cecile Richards has been a vitriolic opponent of anyone that is pro-life. She regularly accuses anyone that opposes abortion of hating women, wanting to take health care form women, and waging a war on women. Such obtuse arguments in any society seeking to create dialogue on a given issue are out of place “out of touch.”

The fact is, pro-life proponents have no ill will towards women at all. The fact that many of the nations leading pro-life activists are women means this cannot possibly be called a “war on women.” The fact that pro-lifers are on the front lines defending the unborn, all unborn, means we don’t hate women – since many of the unborn are in fact girls. No, pro-lifers simply believe the taking of a human life, any human life is murder. And murder has no place in our society.

Cecile Richards might be upset over the bill to repeal Obamacare; but that just shows how “out of touch” she is with Americans that have overwhelmingly supported this action for a long time.
