My Post-Presidential Election Top 10 List for a Trump Presidency

Posted on November 16, 2016 in Life, Public Policy by

Now that the election is over and we have a new president-elect in Donald Trump, I have composed my top 10 list of the thoughts I am most curious about. A Trump presidency is a mystery at this point as we are still uncertain about what, exactly, he will do. While I did not support or vote for Trump, I, like many other Americans am curious as to what this epic political upset will look like. To that end, this list is a compilation of the thoughts I am most curious about regarding Trump as well as the thoughts that occupied my mind directly after the election.

10 – The Electoral College is…terrible. I’ve watched the results of the last 3 presidential elections with curiosity as the electoral map begins to form. Go ahead, Google 2012 or 2016 electoral map and see what appears. I suppose I understand the idea behind the Electoral College but, practically speaking, it stinks. It’s time to get back to making sure every single vote counts with a popular vote. If it’s good enough for Senators, and Congressman, and Mayors, and Governors, it’s good enough for the president as well.

List of Corporate Sponsors for Planned Parenthood Gives Pro-Life Advocates an Opportunity

Posted on May 19, 2016 in Life by

I know we can’t possibly know how every corporation spends their money, and what immoral causes are being supported. But we can learn and make biblically based decisions about how and where to spend our money. A list like this one can help. If you don’t think your money is powerful, you are sadly mistaken. If every pro-life advocate out there refused to support any organization that supported Planned Parenthood you would quickly see corporate donations shrivel. As LifeNews reported, more than 300 companies have stopped sending donations to Planed Parenthood because of this list and the purchasing power of pro-life people. Where you spend your money matters.

Take a look at the list. Learn a little about the companies sending money to America’s largest abortion merchant. Here’s a few of the companies on the list: Bayer, Chanel Chevron, Cigna,

Top Ten Articles of 2014 Defining and Defending Marriage and Family

Posted on January 19, 2015 in Family, Marriage by

I like top 10 lists. I don’t know if late-night television popularized making “top” lists or not. But I would rather scan a “top” list than look through a long list any day. So when Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council compiled a list of the top 10 articles worth reading from 2014, I was interested.

As I scanned his list I recognized most of the articles and their authors immediately. They were articles I had read throughout the year. And I can say that they are indeed worth reading. In fact, what I would suggest is that if you are wanting a strong education defending traditional marriage and the family, these articles will serve you very well.

As you peruse the following list of some of the best articles relating to marriage and family from 2014 I hope you will learn from the wisdom and knowledge of some of our culture’s most notable voices. There is more than just a philosophy being advanced here, there is a fundamental idea of what marriage is (and is not) and what the family is supposed to be. It this idea that is under attack and in need of those adhering to traditional values to arm themselves with facts – not rhetoric – and stand in defense.

Many thanks to Mr. Sprigg for compiling such a worthwhile list. Happy reading!

13 Simple Things Anyone Can Do to Defend Religious Liberty

Posted on July 22, 2014 in Religious Freedom by

You probably already know by now that there is a very real war against religious liberty taking place. Every day it seems I read another headline about a Christian losing a job, being denied employment, being sued, or being threatened by the government for their religious convictions. Finally people are waking up to the fact that many of the “politically correct” views lawmakers and activists are seeking to enact are diametrically opposed the religious convictions of millions of Americans.

What is needed now is for people to stand up and boldly refuse to sit in silence while their religious liberty and freedoms are taken away.

You might be willing, but wondering “what can I do to help?”

The good news is that taking a stand for religious liberty is easier than you might think. But if we all take part and do a little it will make an enormous impact. So, to that end I’ve copied a list of simple things anyone can do to defend religious liberty. (This list originally appeared here.)

Reasons: To Have An Abortion Or Not

Posted on November 15, 2013 in Life by

Two articles caught my attention recently. One was from a “parenting” website called “Mommyish” at which a blogger shared a list of reasons to kill your unborn child. Now, I don’t know for sure if the irony of advocating child murder on a parenting website was lost on the writer, but it wasn’t lost on me.

The list of reasons this blogger felt were worthy of killing an unborn child is below.
