Do you want a picture of the liberal, Utopian society they are seeking to achieve? Here it is:

Incest is acceptable because abortion will rid the world of any deformed children caused by the relationship.

What? Does that shock you? Does that sound absurd? Are you under the impression that such an idea would never be offered by any sane person in our society? Think again.

A judge in Australia offered that exact idea while presiding over a case recently. A man was being tried for repeatedly raping his sister over the course of eight years. When evidence was presented the judge refused to allow it because, he said, incest is a taboo that people are willing to accept these days. A recent article shares the judge’s thoughts:

“By that stage they are both mature adults. The complainant has been sexually awoken, shall we say, by having two relationships with men and she had become ‘free’ when the second relationship broke down,” the judge said, according to the Herald. The only thing that might change that is the fact that they were a brother and sister but we’ve come a long way from the 1950s,” he added. “If this was the ’50s and you had a jury of 12 men there, which is what you’d invariably have, they would say it’s unnatural for a man to be interested in another man or a man being interested in a boy. Those things have gone.”

Another article reports:

“The judge went on to say that incest is only criminalized because of the high chance that any resulting offspring will be born with serious birth defects, but added that ‘even that [risk] falls away to an extent [because] there is such ease of contraception and readily access to abortion’.”

There you have it. A federal judge states that incest (and pedophilia) are acceptable because abortion cures any issues that might arise.

But you see this is the goal. The ultimate end to the immoral game being played is that sexuality and sex are reduced to preferences and recreations that have no consequences because abortion solves all the “problems.” If you think that’s a crazy idea just look around our culture.

Here’s an experiment. See how long you can go through your day without seeing or hearing something related to sex. You won’t be watching any television because even if the show you choose is about pain drying there will be commercials with scantily clad models selling the paint. You won’t be listening to any music because even if you choose a “lite” station plenty of songs will be played about sex. You won’t be grocery shopping because as soon as you get to the checkout line your eyes will be assaulted by a litany of half-naked men and women on magazine covers.

At every turn our society is pushing sex. We use sex to sell everything from soap to car tires. It seems as though any “successful” business idea uses sex in its marketing platform. And of course lawmakers and school officials just know that kids as young as 5 years old need to know about sex in order to be happy and healthy. Video games and movies include sex and the pornography industry makes billions each year selling sex.

The goal is to reduce sex to just another everyday activity, like brushing your teeth, in order to normalize any and all variations of the traditional man-woman model. If sex becomes so hum drum and routine no one will think twice about whether it’s a man and woman, or a woman and two men, or two men, or even a brother and sister. After all, it’s just sex.

Oh, and by the way, if any of those unintended “consequences” should arise, don’t worry, abortion is available. Planned Parenthood will continue to lie and make you believe that abortion is just another medical procedure, like having a cavity filled. Just as sex is being reduced to a routine recreation, so too are activists seeking to make abortion just as plain and boring.

But sex and abortion are not plain and boring.

Sex is an incredible gift our Creator gave us by which we procreate. But more than just procreation sex was given to us to enjoy, when we use it responsibly. It’s not a weapon, not a hobby, and not an achievement. Sex is an awesome gift given to a man and woman that commit their lives to one another in marriage. Any effort to reduce sex to less than this high and coveted status is an error.

Life is no exception. To try and reduce human life to a medical procedure is dangerous to all other life. If one life, the unborn human being, can be slaughtered at will without a second thought, so can the ill, diseased, aged, and others. If one life doesn’t matter, no life matters. But life does matter. Whether unborn and developing or aged and full of wisdom and experience, life matters. And life should be protected at all costs. It never ceases to amaze me that a single celled organism on Mars would be hailed as “life,” but a multi-celled organism growing inside another human being is reduced to “a clump of cells.” That’s not intellectually honest or scientifically consistent.

Some might be tempted to dismiss the statements by this one judge. After all, it’s just one judge in Australia, there’s not an entire movement taking place. Sure, that’s a reasonable response. Except that’s what people said about homosexuality about 25 years ago.
