Pro-Lifers – Not Muslim Terrorists – Are Responsible for San Bernardino Shootings?

Posted on December 7, 2015 in Life by

San BernardinoTwo shootings have occurred in the last month. I know you know about them, we all know about them because the media is fixated on the shootings. They want to bring us every possible detail – even the ones we don’t want or need – in order to make sure we all know that these shootings are the fault of the pro-life movement and global warming skeptics.

Yep, you read that right. According to the media and all their political allies, such as President Obama, Planned Parenthood, members of Congress, and many Hollywood elite, these shootings were caused by pro-lifers and global warming skeptics.

Now, if that seems odd and not at all sensible to you, you are probably exercising common sense and critical thinking skills. These skills are not as common as you think in our current culture where political correctness and groupthink rule the day. So if you’re paying attention to actual facts about these cases and have concluded that the shooters were neither pro-life nor did they have anything to do with the global warming issue, you’re doing just fine.

The first shooting, taking place at a Planned Parenthood facility in Colorado Springs, CO. was the work of a man that has been identified as a registered Independent voter, a woman, and a transgender. To date no one can show any ties to the pro-life movement. And yet, simply because he chose a Planned Parenthood clinic to commit a violent crime every pro-lifer has been blamed. In fact, even pro-life views have been called out by the liberal media for being “violent.” Can someone please help me understand how asking for all life – from conception to natural death – to be respected is “violent”?

And let’s not gloss over the mountainous irony here. Planned Parenthood and every liberal media ally has blasted the pro-life message as causing this violence. And yet somehow their own literal violence of ripping unborn babies apart it the womb is ignored. One group is committing unspeakable acts of violence and murder every single day while the other (pro-lifers) are calling for an end their barbaric actions. And yet they want to call us “violent” and blame us for a mad man’s actions.

The response of the pro-life community has been awesome. Rather trade jabs with those with whom we disagree, we’ve simply let the victims and their families know we are praying for them and stand ready to help. Even presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz would not stoop to lower levels when he was asked about the Colorado shooter. As a recent article reports:

“When a reporter asked about Dear’s comments about ‘baby parts,’ Cruz replied: ‘It’s also been reported that he was registered as an independent and as a woman and a transgendered leftist activist. If that’s what he is, I don’t think it’s fair to blame on the rhetoric on the left. This is a murderer.’ He also reminded the reporter that the Dear’s comment about ‘baby parts’ has not been confirmed yet by police. The statement was made by an anonymous source…‘We don’t fully know the motivations of this deranged individual,’ Cruz continued. ‘It was a multiple murder of what appears to be a deranged individual. And it was horrific, it was evil, and we’ll find out more out about the facts, but I don’t think we should jump to conclusions.’”

I will be the first to admit that some people have made threatening statements toward abortion activists. And some have even carried out violent acts. But those are extremely rare cases. The vast majority of pro-life activists are people that respect human life, all life, even the life of those that disagree with us. Using violence is counter-intuitive to our message and serves no purpose.

And while those pesky facts seem to allude liberal reporting, the fact that nearly every mass murderer in recent history adheres to liberal views and policies is also strangely absent from their reporting.

For example, the San Bernardino murders that recently rocked California were carried out by Islamic terrorists. Just writing that sentence will land me on some DOJ watch list. But just because our President’s administration doesn’t want to admit homegrown terrorists are among us doesn’t mean we all have to stick our heads in the sand. They might think it’s more convenient to blame pro-lifers but the truth will come out and they will once again be embarrassed for their misplaced accusations.

Barely after the shooting happened, all too eager liberal media outlets began to speculate if Planned Parenthood might have been the target simply because there was one located a little more than a mile away. Either the reporter is downright awful for even considering such a thought and actually publicizing it; or the terrorists were incredibly inept to mistake their own place of employment for a Planned Parenthood facility. When you look at it through those logical terms any conclusion that Planned Parenthood might have been the target is nothing more than a tipping of the ideological hand.

During an interview, a guest was asked if working at a Planned Parenthood was a “dangerous occupation.” The guest replied:

“Yeah, absolutely. And as somebody who grew up in Denver, Colorado, knows Colorado Springs very well. It is a highly evangelical community. It’s sort of interesting. Denver is a liberal community and then you have Colorado Springs, this big evangelical base. And I grew up in the era of Operation Rescue, where you had these really scary confrontations between anti-abortion activists, in a lot of cases who were threatening violence against clinic workers and somebody who got my basic health care from Planned Parenthood.”

Look at the connections made: pro-lifers are connected with evangelicals; and evangelicals are connected with those “threatening violence.” The message being sent out is that evangelical pro-lifers are extremists that threaten violence and are prone to terrorism. And yet the facts suggest that the suspect in the Colorado shooting has no ties to either religion or the pro-life movement. Why is this media outlet so eager to paint evangelicals and pro-lifers as violent criminals?

In my opinion, it’s getting almost absurd to watch mainstream media. They are obviously hostile to Christians (though they seem amicable to the Muslims that want terrorize our nation). And they believe the pro-life movement is anti-woman and anti-healthcare. All while they champion anyone that utters a pro-abortion word or a pro-secular ideology. As they foam at the mouth attacking anyone that doesn’t agree with their godless, progressive views they have become nothing less than hypocrites prone to daily irony too absurd to be believed (and yet it happens in front of our eyes).

I can only hope that efforts to defund Planned Parenthood continue. That the pro-life message continues winning the hearts and minds of our youth. And that the atrocities of abortion continue to sicken our society until we end abortion once and for all. If that makes me extreme, so be it. If that makes me an enemy of the politically correct, I’m okay with it. I won’t ever apologize for being pro-life. I will however accept the apology of those that paint me and those like me as terrorists.
