Planned Parenthood “Pastoral Letter” Disappears

Posted on June 19, 2014 in Life by

Remember that “pastoral letter” Planned Parenthood sent to their supporters saying the Bible doesn’t talk about abortion and people of all faiths support killing unborn children – so it’s okay?
Well, it seems they got some major backlash from people for issuing such a blasphemous letter. So much that they decided to remove it from their site and try to conceal the fact that they even attempted to use the Bible to justify murder. Yeah, using the Bible to justify murder is not the brightest idea in light of that whole “thou shalt not kill” thing.
Hopefully that will be a very well learned lesson for Planned Parenthood: don’t use a life affirming book to justify murder.

Incidentally, if you’ve not read Alliance Defending Freedom senior counsel Casey Mattox’s letter to Planned Parenthood in response to their “pastoral letter,” you really should. His offer is brilliant. After speaking to Mattox he let me know that he is still waiting to hear back from Planned Parenthood. Imagine that.

Rebuking Planned Parenthood’s Attempt to Use the Bible to Justify Abortion

Remember that awful “pastoral letter” that Planned Parenthood sent to their supporters? It was supposed to let them know that clergy support abortion and the Bible and God are play with abortion. Just the thought of such a letter makes me angry. To try to use the Bible to coerce people into believing abortion is morally or biblically acceptable is a sin that is hard to move past.

LifeNews has posted an article intended to combat the efforts of Planned Parenthood to deceive people. Using sound biblical exegesis, Brad Mattes, the author of the article and president of Life Issues Institute, has soundly rebuked Planed Parenthood with a proper understanding of what the Bible teaches regarding life.

I encourage you to read the article, posted below, and share it with others that might be unsure of what the Bible teaches.

Planned Parenthood Sends “Pastoral Letter” Lying About Biblical Position on Abortion

Posted on June 4, 2014 in Life by

Planned Parenthood must be feeling desperate. So desperate that they have sent a “pastoral letter” to their patients sharing their version of the Bible which includes no mention of abortion and approval for the murderous procedure. The letter is posted below so you can rad it in it’s entirety. But believe me when I tell you that there is nothing “pastoral” or biblical about this letter.

Very quickly let me point out the glaring problems. First it says that abortion is not mentioned in Scripture. That’s true, abortion by name is not mentioned, just like smoking pot, sniffing cocaine, and many other modern terms. However, the Bible is very clear that murder is wrong – you can find it in those 10 commandments. From beginning to end the Bible makes clear that murder in any form is wrong, that is undeniable. Since abortion is clearly the murder of an innocent child, it is very easy to understand that the Bible condemns abortion as murder.

American Life League Report on Planned Parenthood Facilities

Posted on March 30, 2014 in Life by

This link will take you to a report by the American Life League concerning Planned Parenthood. While PP tries to masquerade as a women’s health organization we know they are in fact the nation’s largest abortion merchant. They primarily concern themselves with abortions and seek to perform as many life-ending procedures as possible.

This survey of Planned Parenthood facilities from the American Life Leagues STOPP International organization is telling for a number of reasons.

First of all, this report shows that the number of PP clinics and affiliates nationwide is shrinking. From nearly 1,200 in 1995 to less than 800 last year, the reach of Planned Parenthood is shrinking as the truth about the organization continues to spread.

Second, this report reminds us that there is only one Planned Parenthood affiliate clinic in West Virginia, located in Charleston. While it’s good to know there is only one, one is too many. The clinic in Charleston has proven to be a dangerous, unsafe place for women that does 5-7 abortions each day. We have no room to sit back and gloat that we have just one clinic when so many babies are dying in our mountains each day.

Speaking of the clinic in Charleston, why hasn’t Gov. Tomblin signed the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act passed by the state legislature earlier this month? With overwhelming support it seems Gov. Tomblin would be quick to sign such a life saving bill. He is “pro-life” after all.

Breaking: Texas Abortion Ruling Has Implications for West Virginia

This is not only important for Texas and the lives that will be saved there, this is important for West Virginia as well.

Right now Gov. Tomblin is still waiting to sign the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act that passed in the state legislature earlier this month. The bill passed with an overwhelming bi-partisan majority that should have made it a no-brainer for the governor to sign. And yet he is waiting, and hedging, saying that he is concerned about the “constitutionality” of the bill.

Those concerns should have been relieved when the Alliance Defending Freedom, a Christian legal group, sent a letter to Gov. Tomblin assuring him of the constitutionality of the bill. Now that the Texas law, which is must more stringent in its legal scope than the West Virginia law, has been upheld yet again as constitutional, there is really no reason for Gov. Tomblin not to sign the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. That is, unless his claim to be pro-life is little more than a campaign slogan.

Girl Scouts Threaten Pro-Lifers for Pointing Out Abortion Ties

Posted on February 17, 2014 in Life by

After pro-life website LifeNews.com pointed out the ties between the Girl Scouts and Planned Parenthood, they received a letter demanding they stop all such reporting. The letter says that the Girl Scouts have no partnership with Planned Parenthood and don’t plan on starting one anytime soon. But evidence to the contrary is abundant, making the threatening letter seem…worthless.

Lifenews.com shared the following evidence for a partnership between the Girl Scouts and Planned Parenthood:

Sixty-two days. Today, my dear son or daughter, you are 62 days old. I say son or daughter, because, you are 62 days old in the womb today, so we don’t know a whole lot yet about you. But what we do know is this. You are ours and you are loved.

Without yet even seeing you, I feel your presence each day, and I look forward to your presence being made more aware to the world through a soon-to-be burgeoning belly and through movements that make your sister and father squeal with joy.
