What? Michael Sam Was Cut by the Rams? But…He’s Gay!

Did you hear the latest excitement from the NFL? No, not that opening day is coming or the new rules that no one likes. I’m talking about the fact that the first openly gay NFL draft choice, Michael Sam, was cut by the St. Louis Rams.
A few months ago Sam made all sorts of headlines for being the first openly gay player to enter the NFL draft. In fact, that’s all anyone could talk about. They talked about his sexuality even more than his on-field accomplishments or his future potential as a NFL player. Some dared to discuss his talents and abilities, saying he was too small and slow for his position and would not make it in the NFL. But they were quickly shamed into silence by everyone else that was elated over his sexuality.
This is the problem when a person’s sexuality becomes more important than anything about him or her. Even as LGBT activists argue that sexuality and sexual-orientation are private matters and no one’s business, they want to parade their sexuality in front of everyone as the singular accomplishment of their life.
Parkersburg Wrestling Team Allowed to Wear Bible Verse on Shirts – For Now

Two developments in the case of a Scripture verse on the shirts of Parkersburg, WV wrestling team members have been confirmed.
First, the verse, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me,” that was in the gym, and on the wrestling website, has been painted over, according to a recent article.
But, thankfully, according to local attorney Bill Merriman, the wrestlers will be allowed to continue wearing their t-shirts with the verse printed on the back. Merriman told conservative commentator Todd Starnes:

Yes, I’m admitting that I watch Phineas and Ferb. In my venture to find a cartoon that I could stomach with my kids we stumbled on this very creative show about two brothers that spend the summer building crazy things and having adventures with their friends. Initially I was just glad to find a show using old-school animation. But as we watched I discovered a gem of a show that has some important life lessons in each episode.
Not only is the writing and music of Phineas and Ferb brilliant, but the lead character, Phineas, just might be one of the greatest leaders in the world; and he’s not even in middle school yet. With this in mind I’ve compiled some leadership lessons courtesy of Phineas and Ferb.

While it’s good to know people are willing to oppose dangerous “science” and speak out against things that may be harmful to children, it’s also sad that such a need exists. Yet, the realm of transgenderism is one such area where amidst growing cries for rights, some voices are urging caution.
