Why Are Churches Dying?: Having a Missional Filter Like Jesus

How often have you said, “Those drunks ought to be behind bars,” “Hookers/Strippers are ruining our culture,” “Gays should be put on an island,” “Delinquents need taught a lesson”?

The point is that Jesus would go to the prison, visit the island, and seek these people out long before He ever came to your house or my house, or even our church. We would do well to remember that. And again to be reminded that Jesus didn’t see the lines that so often divides us as people, Jesus saw souls in need of redemption.

Man Wants to Compete As A Woman – CrossFit Says No

It was bound to happen sooner or later. A transgender woman is suing CrossFit for refusing to allow “her” to compete in one of their annual CrossFit games in the women’s division.

The Blaze reports:

“The lawsuit brought Thursday by Chloie Jonsson, 34, accuses CrossFit Inc. of violating her rights under a California law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender identity. Jonsson’s complaint says she was born male but has been living as a woman since she was a teenager and underwent sex reassignment surgery eight years ago. The surgery, coupled with the female hormones she takes, satisfied the state’s requirements for her to be recognized as female on her birth certificate and other official documents.”

The Definition of Marriage is More Than A Defintion

The definition of marriage is not just an arbitrary conglomeration of words with no meaning. But that is exactly what those seeking to redefine marriage are trying to make it. Opponents of traditional marriage believe the definition is too narrow and exclusive, so they are seeking to broaden the definition in order to be more inclusive.

The problem is that by broadening the definition of marriage, these self-titled liberals and progressives would also erase any actual or perceived definition of marriage. Marriage is inherently the union of one man and one woman for one lifetime. For example, the Webster online dictionary defines marriage thus:
