Are we really about to see white millennials and African-Americans begin supporting Republican candidates? What are the implications for the 2018 mid-term elections?
Are You Sure You Want Christians to “Be More Like Jesus”?
Posted on August 22, 2018 in Theology by Nathan Cherry
These are just a few instances where Jesus “judged” that people had committed sin and clearly called them to stop sinning. Was Jesus being a hypocrite for telling people not to judge and then judging people Himself? Of course not. In fact, Jesus was showing us exactly how to judge other people.
The “Economic Stimulus” Most Americans are Overlooking

This is very different than the eating schedule most people currently observe that has them eating breakfast (or drinking coffee) at 7AM and having a snack before bed at 10 PM. And it’s this “normal” American eating schedule, involving multiple meals and snacks, that is causing so many of the physical and health issues Americans are facing.
A Word of Caution for Consumers Seeking to Borrow Money

If employers are creating jobs and need to fill those jobs, but there is not enough workers to fill the jobs, it’s a problem that can result in inflation. When employers have to compete for talented workers they do so by raising wages. Wage growth across multiple sectors can lead to inflation as retailers see an opportunity for profit and raise prices to keep up with wage growth.
Miss America Could Be the Next Great Exercise in Democracy

Will Miss America set an example of what freedom of speech and diversity of thought looks like in a civilized and tolerant society? How will judges score the contestants if scoring is based on “what comes out of their mouth”? From a distance it appears that judging will be based on whether each individual judge actually agrees with what comes out of the contestants mouth. That poses a serious problem.
Christians Need to Think Differently About “Sexual Identity” and Equality

These are important words for Christians. Too often Christians sound like the culture around us when talking about our identity. As if we have any identity outside of Christ. We are not “American Christians,” or “African-American Christians.” Neither are we alcoholics, drug addicts, or homosexuals. We are simply Christians. To label ourselves with anything more than Christian is to hold up an idol before Christ and declare it our primary identity.
Miss America Making Changes – But NFL Seems Tone Deaf

Knowing this to be true, we have to ask ourselves why it is suddenly inappropriate and degrading to have a swimsuit competition during Miss America but nearly naked women dancing suggestively on an athletic field is fine. This very confusing and clearly hypocritical message is typical of our selective-moral outrage culture.
Americans Seem to Support Kavanaugh More than Abortion

What has been revealed is that many people are simply unaware of exactly what Roe v. Wade is. Many people think reversing this legislation would make abortion illegal in all 50 states. In fact, reversing Roe would simply return the issue to the states to decide. I would think that people that claim to be “pro-choice” would welcome the ability of Americans to “choose” whether to legalize abortion or not. More choice is better, right?
