Jefferson Bethke Writes a Letter To His Unborn Daughter

Posted on January 5, 2015 in Life by

Jefferson Bethke, a spoken-word artist that gained fame for his video “Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus,” recently wrote a letter to his unborn daughter and then read it to her after she was born. In the video Jefferson shares some practical insight with his infant daughter and let’s her know how proud he is to be her daddy. But he also shares truth with her, that life is hard, and sometimes things don’t make sense. But in it all, Jefferson, true to his calling, shares Jesus in the video and lets his daughter know that Christ is the most important thing about life.

Are the Unborn Really Human? These Images Answer the Question

Posted on December 31, 2014 in Life by

Somehow, with all the scientific advancements available to our society, there is still a debate surrounding the humanity of the unborn. Planned Parenthood and NARAL continue to lie – saying that the unborn are not truly human. And yet they, along with many other abortion advocates would cheer the discovery of “life” should a single-celled organism be found on Mars.

The following images tell a very different story, a trust story of just how human the unborn really are. Be warned, some of these images are graphic. Critics often decry the graphic nature of these images as “inappropriate” for civil society. Hmm…in a world where graphic violence can be found in movies, television shows, video games, and all over the Internet, their criticisms sound more like ideological objections than legitimate concerns. The reason for sharing these images is articulated well by LifeNews.com when they first posted the images:

The images are posted below as a witness to both the humanity of the unborn and the brutality of abortion. Perhaps if more people see abortion, they will, like most, be convinced of its immoral, brutal violence against the unborn.

If An Unborn Baby Is Gay – Is It Okay To Abort?

Posted on December 18, 2014 in Life by

I was just writing earlier this week about the continued search for a “gay gene.” Researchers are desperate to find this gene so they can, they believe, legitimize and validate the homosexual lifestyle. They believe if such a gene is found it will pound the final nail in the coffin against any and all opposition to homosexuality.

I don’t personally believe that such a gene exists. The idea that there is something genetically different about homosexual people is strange. What do we do with ex-gay people? Are they living against biology by professing to no longer be homosexual? The whole thing seems to me to be an attempt at finding what LGBT activists believe would be an irrefutable argument supporting homosexuality in every facet of society.

Putting my personal opinion aside for a moment, an article connection homosexuality and abortion caught my attention.

Wesley J. Smith recently wrote an article which appeared at LifeNews.com about the discovery of a “gay gene” and abortion. Smith, using the recent study for a “gay gene,” linked the study with abortion to ponder:

10 Pro-Abortion Phrases We Hope Will Disappear Forever

Posted on December 15, 2014 in Life by

In an article posted at LifeNews.com, Kristi Burton Brown has compiled a list of the top 10 pro-abortion phrases she hopes will disappear. I must say, it’s a great list. Take a look at the following list and see if you agree. Better yet, see if there is any words or phrases missing that you would like to see added to this list. Prayerfully, 2015 will be the year we see more unborn lives saved and come closer to the day when Roe v. Wade is overturned once and for all.

1) “Termination” of Pregnancy: Since pregnancy is also “terminated” (or “ended”) through birth, this is a deceptive way to describe abortion.

2) “Reproductive Justice”: This phrases amounts to an odd myth. Suffice it to say that fancy words do not a moral murder make.

Planned Parenthood “Pastoral Letter” is Full of Lies and Bad Theology

Posted on December 2, 2014 in Life by

Once again the Religious Affairs Committee has sent out a letter explaining, in part, that abortion “will not threaten your relationship with God.” I want to highlight the main points of the letter and respond to each. I do this because it helps us prepare a biblical defense against abortion and anyone, including pastors that would try to convince us of its legitimacy.

– We believe, as religious leaders in our faith communities, that abortion is a morally permissible choice for a woman facing a problem pregnancy.

It’s interesting to me that no Scripture was used to support this claim. The pastors I know and trust always have Scripture to back up their positions. This lets me know that it’s not just their opinion but a biblically formed position that can be verified and supported through the Bible. The fact that Scripture is not used to support this claim is dubious.

Maybe there is no Scripture included because the actual Bible contradicts their position. Over and over the Bible says that God formed babies in the womb (Psa. 139:2; Isa. 44:2; 24; Jer. 1:5). The Bible makes clear that killing is murder (Ex. 20:13; Matt. 5:21; Rom. 13:9; Jas. 2:11). The theology is easy here.

The fact that this letter does not define a “problem pregnancy” other than to say it could be due to “medical, physical, emotional, economic, and relational reasons” is misleading. Some will support abortion if the pregnancy threatens the life of the mother – something that could certainly be considered a “problem.” But to lump these other factors in with such a rate and extreme scenario shows that Planned Parenthood is still willing to mislead and deceive people in order to perform more abortions.

Video: Sand Castle Competition Entry Shares Pro-Life Message in Amazing Way

Posted on December 1, 2014 in Life by

The video below is of an entry to the Siesta Key Crystal Classic Master Sand Sculpting Competition. That’s a mouthful for sure. But the competition happens each year in Florida, with people coming from as far away as the Philippines to compete. The week long event boasts some of the most intricate and amazing sand sculptures imagined.

The sculpture chosen as “the people’s choice” this year is called “The Miracle of Life.” The sculpture shows an infant cradled in the hands of his parents, or perhaps even his Creator. The motivation for the sculpture is unknown, but the message is undeniable: Life is a Miracle. And because life is a miracle it should be defended at all times. The idea that it is acceptable to kill an unborn child, a child with an illness or handicap, runs counter to our nature. We instinctively know it’s wrong to kill defenseless people.

Watch the video below to see a better view of this amazing sculpture. It’s hard to believe it was done entirely out of sand but it is absolutely amazing.

Disturbing Video Praises “Bro-choice” Abortion Supporters

Posted on November 28, 2014 in Life by

According to groups like Planned Parenthood and NARAL men are not allowed to interject their thoughts concerning abortion because it is a “woman’s right” issue. That is, of course, unless you are a man that supports abortion, then it’s not just acceptable but encouraged that you speak up. The obvious hypocrisy is hard to stomach.

The video below is also hard to stomach. (Warning: graphic images and language.)

The video highlights the “Bro-choice” movement, which is men that believe if a woman is pregnant, and he wants her to have an abortion, she should be forced to have the abortion. The sick, twisted nature of this movement is hard to fathom. Especially in light of places like China where women are routinely subjected to forced abortion. To think that someone would hold the position that a woman should be “forced against her will” to have an abortion is an egregious affront to human dignity and worth; not to mention civil rights.

New Song by Garth Brooks is Leaving A Lot of People In Tears

Posted on November 21, 2014 in Life, Marriage by

If you’re a fan of country music you are no doubt familiar with Garth Brooks. Even if you don’t like country music there is still a chance you like Garth. He’s just one of those singers, performers, that people like.

Brooks’ new song shares a simultaneous pro-life and pro-mom message. And it seems to be causing a lot of folks to grab a tissue.

Brooks recently shared that the song is “a conversation between God and this unborn child about ready to go down to earth. And when God describes what a mom is – whew, it kills me.”

Those lyrics that describe what a mom is say:

“So hush now baby, don’t you cry / Cause there’s someone down there waiting whose only goal in life / Is making sure you’re always going to be all right / A loving angel, tender, tough and strong / It’s almost time to go and meet your mom.”

Take a few moments to watch the video – posted below – and remember that life is precious, and kids need a mom and a dad.

Planned Parenthood Letter: We Need Your Help After the Elections

Posted on November 17, 2014 in Life by

It’s no secret that conservative lawmakers swept through the country in the recent mid-term elections. It’s also no secret that those lawmakers are strongly pro-life. Though groups like Planned Parenthood try and deny it, the reality is that America is a predominantly pro-life country.

The trend toward life has been steadily increasing every year. On the state level more pro-life laws have been passed in the last three years than in the previous decade combined. The demand for an end to abortion on demand continues to grow and, were it not for the most pro-abortion president in history, we would see federal pro-life laws passed.

At the end of the night when it was obvious that pro-life lawmakers were headed to Washington to be a majority in the House of Representatives and the Senate, it is understandable that abortion advocates became very nervous.

So nervous is Planned Parenthood that they wasted no time in sending a “we really need your support right now” email to their constituents. It’s not a surprise that Planned Parenthood is nervous given the fact that without President Obama they would not receive the $500 million in tax dollars each year they currently enjoy. That’s our money folks…killing babies.

Should Terminal Patients Like Brittany Maynard Kill Themselves?

Posted on November 12, 2014 in Life by

At 29 years old Brittany Maynard was given a terminal diagnosis. The brain cancer was terminal and in April she was given 6 months to live. Maynard then decided to her family to Oregon to take advantage of the state’s right-to-die law; which allows a person to take lethal medication to end her life “with dignity.”

Maynard decided to end her life on November 1. After much media attention and national pleading she seemed to change her mind. But then news spread across the nation on Sunday, November 2 that Brittany had taken her life.

Maynard and others want to “die with dignity, on my terms, my time, my way.”

But I have a problem with this use of speech.
