Americans Seem to Support Kavanaugh More than Abortion

What has been revealed is that many people are simply unaware of exactly what Roe v. Wade is. Many people think reversing this legislation would make abortion illegal in all 50 states. In fact, reversing Roe would simply return the issue to the states to decide. I would think that people that claim to be “pro-choice” would welcome the ability of Americans to “choose” whether to legalize abortion or not. More choice is better, right?
This Info-Graphic Says It All Regarding Moral Issues

The info-graphic posted here is from a recent study by the Pew Research Center called: Pew Research Center’s 2013 Global Attitudes. It shows the response of citizens in 40 countries when asked about moral issues facing our culture. The results speak for themselves. A recent article at LifeNews.com shows that Americans are consistently pro-life on the issue of abortion. The issue is an in-depth look at the use of specific words in polls and how it affects the outcome, but the results show a strong pro-life leaning in nearly every poll.
The two poll results shown below are representative of many polls taken over the last decade. The number vary slightly at times but polls consistently show that Americans favor life. This begs the question of why our federal government under the Obama administration has given more money to abortion groups like Planned Parenthood than ever before? And why repeal policies like the Mexico City policy put in place by former president George W. Bush to prohibit the U.S. from sending money for abortion to foreign countries? And why demand, through the HHS mandate and ObamaCare that tax money be spent to pay for abortions?
This also begs the question of why our lawmakers in West Virginia have not made abortion in welfare illegal, allow state tax money to be used for abortions, and still have not enacted any common sense health and safety restrictions on the abortion industry in our state. Obviously our lawmakers, both state and federal are not listening to the people that elected them.
Will the Religious Super-Majority Be Forced to Comply?

A number of times now President Obama has stated that America is “no longer a Christian nation.” I don’t believe that every person in America is a repentant follower of Jesus, and I am certain the president does not believe that either. What I believe the president was trying to accomplish with his remarks is to distance modern America from our religious founding and heritage. In President Obama’s ongoing attempts to replace “freedom of religion” with “freedom to worship” he would like nothing more than to imbed the idea that America is not founded and based on biblical principles.
In a solid refutation of the president’s claim, a recent Gallup poll released at the end of December in 2013 shows that a super-majority of Americans, 75%, identify with the Christian faith. Dr. Frank Newport, Galup’s Editor-in-Chief says:

You won’t hear this in the news tonight. But a new poll shows that most Americans support abortion restrictions and do not support abortion on demand up to the moment of birth. Currently in my home state of West Virginia the abortion industry is unregulated and abortion is legal up to the moment of birth. Our lawmakers seem indifferent to this fact and turn a blind eye. But this poll bears the truth of what most West Virginians and Americans in general believe about abortion.
LifeNews.com: “The Marist University poll, which was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, finds 62% of all Americans support “changing laws to allow for some restrictions on abortion,” while 84 percent of Americans do not support abortion on demand up until the birth of the child.
Poll: Most Americans Favor Abortion Waiting Period

The percentage of Americans that are pro-life is growing, that much is sure. As that number grows, so does the percentage of people that favor other common sense measures.
