Imagine my surprise when renowned psychiatrist Dr. Paul R. McHugh, formerly the psychiatrist-in-chief at Johns Hopkins recently claimed that transgenderism is a “mental disorder.” How dare he say such hurtful things. Doesn’t he know that our society doesn’t care about facts and biology? Doesn’t he know that our imaginations and desires are more important that centuries of verifiable, empirical evidence?

I’m a fan of a capella music. So when I saw this video it was a no-brainer to share it. A recent article shares a brief description of the musicians singing and their purpose for the video:
“Two a capella groups from Brigham Young University teamed up with an interfaith nonprofit to release a stunning version of ‘Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful’ — a rendition that they hope will help people ‘remember the real reason that makes this season so joyful.’ BYU singing groups Vocal Point and Noteworthy joined Faith Counts, a nondenominational organization, to produce the song as well as an associated video:
“As another holiday season comes upon us and life seems to speed up in a frenzy of party planning and gift buying, take a few minutes to slow down and remember the real reason that makes this season so joyful.”
I couldn’t agree more. Slow down for a few moments and reflect on the purpose this season exists. Without the birth of Jesus we would not have anything to celebrate. This video is stunning and I hope you will not only watch it but that you will share it and bless someone else.” Merry Christmas.
Most Americans Support Abortion Restrictions

You won’t hear this in the news tonight. But a new poll shows that most Americans support abortion restrictions and do not support abortion on demand up to the moment of birth. Currently in my home state of West Virginia the abortion industry is unregulated and abortion is legal up to the moment of birth. Our lawmakers seem indifferent to this fact and turn a blind eye. But this poll bears the truth of what most West Virginians and Americans in general believe about abortion.
LifeNews.com: “The Marist University poll, which was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, finds 62% of all Americans support “changing laws to allow for some restrictions on abortion,” while 84 percent of Americans do not support abortion on demand up until the birth of the child.
WV Attorney General Tells Legislature Abortion is Permitted Up to Birth in the State

While answering questions before the legislature last week, West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey reiterated that West Virginia currently allows abortion for any reason up to the moment of birth. Controversy erupted last summer when Morrisey, in response to a lawsuit filed against the largest abortion clinic in the state, announced that his office would conduct an investigation into current abortion laws in the state.
The results of that investigation is that Morrisey has concluded that West Virginia does indeed allow abortions for any reason up to the moment of birth. In other words, West Virginia currently does not regulate the abortion industry operating within its borders. In fact, tattoo studios and hair salons are subject to more regulation than abortion clinics.
Morrisey told the legislature:
The video posted below is breathtaking. This video is a visualization of what the process of conception all the way through birth looks like. While the process may not look exactly like this in every case, there is no doubt that the accuracy of the process has been captured. And, if you pay attention to the words used to describe the various stages, the author of this film uses the word baby to describe the life being formed.

25 days: heart chamber is developing
32 days: arms and hands are developing
36 days: Most rapid development – if the baby continued to grow at this speed for the entire 9 months, it would be 1.5 tons at birth

The baby’s continual movement in the womb is necessary for muscular and skeletal growth

You’ve Heard of Wrongful Death, Now We Have “Wrongful Birth.”

Abortion advocates so believe in the “right” to abortion that they have no trouble suing over what is being called “wrongful birth.” Here’s how the story was reported recently:
“A couple in Washington state have won what is being called the biggest so-called ‘wrongful birth’ lawsuit ever, when they claim they were denied information that could have led them to abort their disabled baby. A jury in Washington state awarded a couple $50 million after genetic tests didn’t give the couple the information they wanted to know about whether their baby had a rare genetic disorder. Had the baby had the disorder, the couple planned to take his or her life in an abortion.”
In short, this couple wanted genetic testing so they could determine if they were going to kill their unborn child. When they didn’t get what they wanted and had the child, who was found to be with a rare genetic disorder, they sued.
Can you imagine looking at your child and thinking “we would have killed you if we’d only known you would be like this.” That’s the mindset of these parents. They don’t see a precious life, a joy, a gift. They see a mistake that they would not have made “if only.” Is this the society we’ve become? Have we degenerated to the place that we will actually sue someone over a “wrongful birth”?
I feel sorry for this child. I don’t see how he could possibly receive the love a child deserves from parents that consider him a mistake and regret that they didn’t kill him. I fear one day we will hear about this child being euthanized. This is truly tragic. Click here for original article.
